On April 10, 2007 the Cloverdale Town Council returned fire protection duties to the Cloverdale Township Volunteer Fire Department. This occured in response to the resolution of multiple ongoing lawsuits between the two agencies. As a part of the agreement the downtown fire station that had been the home of the Cloverdale Township Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years was returned to them. Fire fighters spent the Saturday, May 19th, working on final preparations for their move back into the downtown fire. There are still many more projects to complete in the upcoming months and more to move back into the new station. If you see us at the Stardust Hills or Downtown stations feel free to stop in, visit, and check things out.
